Sanjay L. Deshpande
Vice President of Aerospace and Defense

Mr. Deshpande has served as Vice President of Aerospace and Defense at EnerSys since 2003. In addition, he leads the company's activities in alternative technologies.

Deshpande has worked in the battery industry for 27 years, most recently as Vice President of Corporate Development at Exide Technologies. He also served in several roles at GNB Technologies. Deshpande began his career at Honeywell Power Sources Center. He served as the Chairman of the Industrial Battery and Chargers Committee of Battery Council International (BCI) from 1995 to 2003.

Deshpande holds an MBA and MS in Electrochemical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, USA and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India.
